Last updated: September 15, 2026

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of Arvices, operated by Arvices, a marketplace platform operating in Nigeria. By accessing or using the Arvices mobile application or website, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Platform Overview

Arvices is a marketplace that enables users to offer, discover, book, and purchase services and products. Arvices acts as a facilitator and is not a party to agreements between users, except where explicitly stated.

Arvices operates strictly as an intermediary infrastructure provider. Arvices is not an employer, contractor, partner, joint venturer, or direct agent of any Service Provider or Vendor using the Platform. Any contract for physical service delivery, contractual labor, or product purchase is entered into solely and directly between the User and the respective Provider/Vendor.

2. User Accounts & Data

  • Users must create an account to access core features.
  • You are responsible for maintaining account security.
  • Only approved and onboarded service providers may offer services.
  • Account Deletion: Users have the right to delete their account at any time through the in-app settings. Upon deletion, personal data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, subject to any legal or financial record-keeping requirements under Nigerian law (e.g., FIRS compliance).

3. Marketplace Rules & Safety

Users may post services, products, and content on the Explore feed.

Prohibited Actions:

  • Posting NSFW, illegal, misleading, or infringing content.
  • Circumventing platform fees or payment systems.
  • Engaging in fraudulent or abusive behavior.

UGC Safety & Moderation: Users who post content to the Explore feed or Showcase must adhere to our safety standards. Arvices employs a zero-tolerance policy regarding objectionable content. We provide in-app tools for users to report offending content and block abusive users. Arvices reserves the right to remove such content and take action against the account within 24 hours of a report.

4. Payments, Fees, and Commissions

  • All payments for services and products must be completed within the Arvices platform using the provided payment system.
  • External Payments are currently processed through Paystack.
  • A 5% commission applies to every completed service or product transaction for all Service Providers and a non-refundable NGN 100 applies to every client transaction.
  • A 1% commission applies to every withdrawal (capped at 1,000 NGN).
  • A 2% commission plus NGN 100 applies to every external (Non-Wallet) transfer to another Arvices user.
  • Top-ups and wallet transfers within Arvices incur no charges.

Prohibited Off-Platform Payments

To maintain payment security, transaction tracking, and dispute coverage, all communication, service matching, booking schedules, and financial transactions must happen exclusively within the Arvices automated ecosystem. Payments made outside of the Arvices application (including but not limited to cash, bank transfers, or direct payments between users) are strictly prohibited.

  • Arvices will not be liable for any loss, dispute, fraud, or damages for off-platform transactions.
  • Arvices will not provide dispute resolution or refunds for these transactions.
  • Such actions may result in immediate account suspension or termination.

5. Withdrawals & Refunds

  • Service providers may only withdraw funds after a minimum holding period of seven (3) days from the date a transaction is marked as completed.
  • Only funds from completed services, fulfilled product orders, and successfully completed bookings are eligible for withdrawal.
  • Funds linked to pending, cancelled, disputed, or incomplete bookings cannot be withdrawn until completion and clearance.
  • Withdrawals are subject to verification and compliance checks.
  • If a service provider account is terminated for rule violations, Arvices will refund the available balance, subject to dispute resolution, chargebacks, or legal holds.

6. Dispute Resolution & Fair Solution Policy

6.1 Commitment to Quality

We want your experience on Arvices to be completely frictionless. If a transaction goes wrong, a service is unsatisfactory, or a product is not delivered as specified, we are committed to acting in good faith as a marketplace mediator to find a balanced resolution.

6.2 Reporting Timeline

To trigger our dispute resolution pipeline, the aggrieved party must contact the Arvices Support Team through our designated app interfaces, web portal, or official support channel within 48 hours of the scheduled service completion timestamp or product delivery event.

6.3 Remedies and Fair Mitigation

Arvices will review the automated system chat logs, geographical data, and platform booking configurations to assess the issue. At our sole discretion, our internal resolution paths to find a fair solution may include:

  • Issuing a partial or full refund to your platform wallet balance.
  • Providing reasonable alternative compensation.
  • Matching the client with a free replacement provider to complete the job properly.
  • Instructing a Vendor to execute an immediate product swap or return.

6.4 Formal Escalation

If a dispute cannot be resolved amicably through our internal channels within thirty (30) days of the initial support filing, both parties agree that the dispute shall be permanently referred to mediation at the Lagos Multi-Door Court House (LMDC) in accordance with the Arbitration and Mediation Act, 2023. The venue of such resolution shall be Lagos, Nigeria, and the proceedings shall be conducted in English.

7. Content Ownership and License

  • Users retain ownership of content they post.
  • By posting content, you grant Arvices a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute such content for platform operations and promotion.
  • Promotion includes listing the products and services you publish on Arvices, with their photos, prices, your business name and links to their Arvices pages, on shopping and advertising services such as Google, Meta (Facebook and Instagram), X and TikTok. Only physical products appear in shopping catalogs; services are used for advertising only.

8. Account Suspension, Termination & Fraud

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, post prohibited content, or engage in harmful behavior.

Fraud and Legal Action: Service providers engaging in fraudulent activities (e.g., scam attempts, falsified services) face:

  • Immediate account termination.
  • Forfeiture of platform privileges.
  • Reporting to relevant law enforcement authorities, including the Nigeria Police Force, where actions constitute a criminal offense.

9. Intellectual Property

All Arvices branding, software, and platform content are the exclusive property of Arvices. Unauthorized use is prohibited.

10. Service Availability

We do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Features may change or be discontinued without liability.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Nigerian law, Arvices shall not be liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from platform use.

Third-Party Platform Liability: You acknowledge that these Terms are between you and Arvices only, and not with Apple Inc. or Google LLC. Arvices, not Apple or Google, is solely responsible for the App and the content thereof, including maintenance, support, and addressing any claims related to the platform.

12. Disclaimer

Arvices is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind.

12.1 Automated Processing Consent

By interacting with Arvices across our Web, Mobile, or WhatsApp channels, you grant explicit consent for our conversational AI systems to process, cache, and transmit your data profiles, locations, and request inputs to relevant Service Providers. This data transmission is done strictly to fulfill your active matching requests.

12.2 Regulatory Frameworks

All user data ingestion, profile hosting, and background database storage comply fully with the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) and general consumer safety protocols. For more details on how we safeguard your information, please view our comprehensive Privacy Policy.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

14. Artificial Intelligence (Nexus AI)

Arvices utilizes artificial intelligence to assist in service discovery and automation. While we strive for accuracy, Nexus AI may occasionally provide incomplete or inaccurate information. Users are responsible for verifying all transaction details, pricing, and service specifications before committing to a purchase or booking.

15. Changes to These Terms

Arvices reserves the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will alert users to significant changes by updating the "Last Updated" timestamp at the top of this document or via a push notification. Continued use of the Platform after updates constitute binding acceptance of the modified Terms. Continued use of Arvices after updates constitutes acceptance of revised Terms.

16. Social Publishing and Paid Promotions

16.1 Posting for You

When you connect Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X or WhatsApp, Arvices publishes, schedules or sends to your drafts only the posts you approve. You are responsible for the content you approve and for following each platform's own rules. Posts to your Arvices Showcase and Explore are free.

16.2 How Paid Promotions Are Bought

When you pay for an ad through Arvices, Arvices buys the placement on Meta (Facebook and Instagram), TikTok and X from its own advertising accounts on your behalf. The single total shown before you pay is charged to your Arvices wallet. It includes the media budget that goes to the networks and an Arvices service fee on ad spend, currently thirty percent (30%) of the media budget.

16.3 Minimum Budgets

Each network sets a minimum daily budget. TikTok requires at least twenty US dollars (USD 20) a day for each ad group, converted to naira at the exchange rate Arvices uses on the day plus a small margin for currency costs. The minimum that applies is always shown before you pay, and you may choose how your daily budget is split between the channels you pick.

16.4 Shared TikTok Ads

If your TikTok budget is below TikTok's minimum, your ad may run in a shared TikTok ad group together with ads from other Arvices businesses, so that the group reaches the minimum together. Your ad is switched off each day once it has spent your share for that day. If the shares on a day do not reach the minimum, your ad does not run that day and your paid days move forward. If your ad cannot run after the number of waiting days shown when you paid, its unspent budget is refunded.

16.5 Review, Results and Refunds

  • Every ad is reviewed by the network, which may reject it. If an ad is rejected, the part of your payment for that channel that was not spent is refunded to your wallet.
  • When an ad ends, or when you pause or delete it, the media budget it did not spend and the matching part of the service fee are refunded to your wallet once the network's final spend is known, normally within two (2) days.
  • A paused ad cannot be restarted. You can promote the same item again as a new ad.
  • Arvices does not guarantee clicks, sales or any other result from an ad.
  • Arvices may pause or refuse any ad that breaks these Terms, the law or a network's advertising policies.
